Actually , If you look the majority arent resubmitted in the fact that they are new so much but , they just edit the image without editing it per say ... they resubmit the same piece on the same page they are editing , that is why it shows up again in your watch list again..... I have done the same with little success , but people who have alot of works and want others to see it especially if they have gotten a bunch of new watchers receintly, may just do the edit image thing like i said before... it doesnt show up on new deviations on da and they dont loose the count that they have on views already.
It just grows....

Yes, perhaps I chose the wrong word. I do think something is fishy when I see the same art in my watchlist 5 times in 2 days.

There are alot of way to whore up page views. But, in essence, page views don't make your work any better. They just tell you how many people weeded your images out of the thousands that get submitted every day. I've seen wonderfull galleries with 200 page views, and I've seen super trashy ones with 4562394857632498562 page views. Most of it is about socializing in comments, forums, and on DAmn. But *shrug*.

Anyways, nice to meet a fellow Iowa photog. Not alot of us around.
